A wonderful overview has been received from our partners at UK Youth for another successful year of the Active Youth programme. The programme aimed to increase the activity rates of young people who were inactive, i.e. participated in less than 2 hours physical activity per week. The programme also sought to recognise the positive outcomes which would come from increasing physical activity and the programme was fully inclusive, working with young people from a variety of backgrounds and abilities.
UK Youth released a great overview of the results put together at the end of the programme based on the outcomes of the 3 organisations who coordinated the programme on a regional level; Youth Fed, Young Cumbria and Young Leicestershire.
Thanks to our partners and the community organisations who were instrumental in the delivery of the programme and of course the wonderful young people who have embraced the change to become Active Youth!
