About Us
The Youth Federation works across Cheshire, Halton, Warrington and Wirral to help disadvantaged young people achieve their potential through direct delivery youth work, alternative education and working with the voluntary sector to the frontline of community youth work.
Where did we begin? - Youth Federation was originally formed in 1952 as Cheshire Association of Boys Clubs.
Our Mission is to promote youth work approaches that empower young people through the creation of a dynamic, professional organisation which has a distinct purpose within the sector.
Through the development of a specialised team of staff and volunteers, The Fed has built a reputation founded upon the delivery of high quality services to the area's youth and community groups and, where there is a defined need or the Federation possess a specific expertise, provide direct services to children and young people.
Our vision is to
- achieve ‘life changing’ outcomes for young people by providing a quality delivery and support service for youth services across Cheshire, Halton and Warrington and Wirral.
- operate with full integrity in both delivery and support structures of the charity.
- be supportive to young people and delivery groups so that all energies are focused on outcomes for young people.
- be a positive influence on youth service provision and operate in a ‘can do’ culture.
Youth Federation is a regional Youth Association affiliated to UK Youth.
