Youth Sector Support

The capacity building team deliver high quality support to voluntary youth groups and focus on developing some key partnerships that will enable the Federation to access future opportunities within the sector.
In a financially challenging year which included in year cuts to our voluntary youth support programme, the Federation has continued to be able to provide youth work training and support to voluntary groups in Cheshire, Halton, Warrington & Wirral.
In partnership with our colleagues in voluntary sector and with the support of our funders, Youth Federation has continued to; support and develop validation standards, help groups access workforce development tools and engaged volunteers in core youth work training including safeguarding, governance and youth work skills.
This year we would particularly like to thank all of our voluntary member group staff and volunteers for their hard work and dedication in providing positive activities for children and young people in our local communities.
The best way to demonstrate Youth Federation’s success is through the use of the words of our participants themselves:
- “An excellent course! Well delivered. Tarvin YC”
- “I can now help my organisation implement the things I have learned” Middlewich C & Youth Project
- “I came with limited knowledge of child protection and now feel much more confident” CLASP Chester Lodging and Support worker
- “A really enjoyable day with good relevant information given in an informative manner” Live!
- “I found the course very informative and most useful regardless of how experienced or inexperienced a person might be. It sheds a light on many crucial and vital areas of youth work and serves both as a knowledge update as well as a comprehensive starter pack for beginners. Personally I felt that it has helped me brush up on my knowledge and contextualise what I had done before in youth work in a professional yet informal framework “
