Overview

 

This NSPCC endorsed course is designed for staff that are working directly with children and young people and is also suitable for those who have responsibility for the management of their group. The course focuses on recognising child abuse and taking action on concerns. The course gives participants the opportunity to embed their understanding and practice in relation to child protection and safeguarding

 

 

 

Youth Work Skills Course ( Cheshire West)

1st September - 17th November 2010 (12 weeks)

Availability 

 

Up to 20 staff and volunteers from voluntary youth groups. Participants must agree to attend a minimum of 10 of 12 session. Training is free to voluntary sector and £50 to statutory. Spaces are at a premium and a £35 admin charge will be made if you fait to notify us of non attendance 72 hours prior to the training commencing.

The aim of the course is to develop the skills of staff and volunteers in voluntary youth organisations to increase their knowledge and understanding of running a youth group. The course is modular and includes sessions and topics including: child protection, youth participation, governance, online protection, health and safety, equality and diversity, volunteer rights & responsibilities.
