Fedzone, a Big Lottery Funded programme, is an, exciting free training programme for young volunteers aged 13-18 years who work in their local youth clubs and groups.
Fedzone is designed to improve the skills and experience of the young people to help them to work with young people in their local youth clubs and also develop their confidence.
Fedzone is based around 5 ‘Zones’ which look at different issues that young people may face or be interested in. The Zones were identified following our consultation with young people and the 5 Every Child Matters outcomes.
The ‘Zones’ are:
Mezone-Volunteers rights and responsibility training, equality and diversity training, Youth Achievement Awards (YAA), Child Protection
Safetyzone- Sexual health awareness training, personal safety, drug and alcohol abuse sessions, First Aid, Health and Safety, Food Hygiene.
Moneyzone- Understanding debt, fundraising for your local club, budgeting.
Artzone-Being creative through art days, including drama-expressing feelings
Sportzone-Keeping healthy, team playing, keeping fit, healthy eating workshops
Young people will also be given the opportunity to complete their Youth Achievement Award.
If you are a young person who volunteers in your local youth club in Cheshire, Warrington or Wirral and are aged between 11-19 then please contact our Fedzone Co-ordinator Anna Hilliard on 0151 6419888 or e mail her on
