| Macclesfield Youth Achievement Foundation |
The Youth Achievement Foundation is based in Macclesfield and within three years of the Pathfinder we will place 90 young people aged 13 -19 who are at risk of exclusion or are not in education, employment or training (NEET) on the pathway to success. This will be supported by a Gold Star community mentoring service attached to the Foundation which will provide support to young people most in need. The Macclesfield Youth Achievement Foundation will be part of a National scheme that will be replicated across the country to all local authorities that want to explore this model. We will offer young people 25 hours of education a week providing an individualised timetable.
There are many ways in which you can get involved in the YAF
Can you provide:
Two hours of your time a week, for a year, to mentor young people (training provided)
Work placements for young people
A specialist activity i.e.
Learning days i.e. environmental work
Sports resources i.e. Bibs, Five a side goals etc
One day a week helping young people with their English and Maths
