There are also volunteering programmes to get involved with and a chance to make a difference to young people on the Young Voices of Warrington Panel. If you want to take part in competitive sport or just have a laugh with your friends, there’s plenty of different activities to come along to.

PAPYRUS PREVENTION OF YOUNG SUICIDE
Location: PAPYRUS, 67 Bewsey Street, Warrington
Postcode: WA2 7JQ

What We Do

We are the national charity for the prevention of young suicide. We draw from the experience of many who have been touched personally by young suicide across the UK and speak on their behalf in our campaigns and in our endeavours to save young lives. Together we believe that with appropriate support and education, many young suicides can be prevented. We deliver awareness and prevention training, provide confidential support and suicide intervention through HOPELineUK, campaign and influence national policy, and empower young people to lead suicide prevention activities in their own communities.

WIRED YOUNG CARERS SERVICE WARRINGTON
Location: 86 Sankeys Street, Warrington, Cheshire
Postcode: WA1 1SG

What We Do

A Young Carer is a child or young person aged 18 years or under who helps to look after a family member who has a disability, mental health condition, illness, or a substance misuse problem. Helping may be a normal part of growing up, however, this group of young people regularly carry out significant or substantial caring tasks and assume a level of responsibility which would normally be associated with an adult. Often Young Carers are hidden. They may not think of themselves as carers, and may not be recognised as such by other people like friends, teachers, GPs and even other family members. Young Carers can be of any age, gender, ethnicity or from any cultural background.
