During our Autumn NCS Programme, young people planned and delivered a social action project, raising over £300 for local charity Claire House Children’s Hospice.
During the NCS programme young people took part in outdoor adventure activities as well as learning, developing confidence and gaining new skills. Near the end of the programme, participants headed to the Live Centre in Chester where they hosted a Coffee Morning, selling tea, coffee and cakes in return for important donations for their chosen charity.
Chief Executive at Youth Fed, Chris Hindley commented: “It was great to hear that our Autumn NCS team and attendees raised over £300 for Claire House Children’s Hospice.
“The NCS course is a fantastic way for young people to meet new friends whilst learning new skills, it is great to see these learnings being put into practice whilst raising crucial funds.”
